The cover art we’ve chosen for the first three DUNCTON e-books is absolutely lovely – the result of poring over hundreds of images to re-create a Duncton feel and brand. Michael Bhaskar, the founder and director of publisher Canelo, puts it this way: We wanted an approach that signaled the epic qualities, but also invited people in. We felt too literal a depiction of moles would be the wrong approach. Instead grand, arresting type was going to be key, set over the right woodland scene. We went through iteration after iteration on the cover and this is what finally clicked for the team, so we are very happy indeed with the results. It just feels right and, I believe, is a place where readers would want to spend time. I’ll be posting the other two covers in due course and am very confident that readers will love them as I do.
